Cognism and ZoomInfo are the two enterprise contact-data vendors most often shortlisted together, and neither publishes a price. Cognism sells Standard and Pro packages with 5 seats included, charges 1 credit per revealed contact and markets phone-verified mobiles and compliance. ZoomInfo declares the larger database, 500M+ profiles and 135M+ direct dials, with most of its mobiles in North America. Every figure below was read on September 28, 2026.
Disclosure first: we are Overloop, and we sell contact data and outreach, so we compete with both Cognism and ZoomInfo. Every price and figure below was read on the vendors' official pages on September 28, 2026. Where one of them is the better choice for your team, we say so.
Cognism vs ZoomInfo: the short answer
Choose Cognism if your sellers call Europe, compliance screening matters (it checks 16 do-not-call lists), and you like a simple credit rule: 1 credit reveals a whole contact, and the same contact is free to reuse until it changes jobs. Packages start with 5 seats.
Choose ZoomInfo if North America is your main market or you need the broadest declared database with intent data and warehouse delivery. ZoomInfo declares 77.7M+ mobile numbers in North America and 18.5M+ in Europe.
Neither publishes a price, so neither gives you a price per phone number to compare. Ask both for the credit cost of a mobile in writing.
Choose Overloop if the number has to go straight into outreach. Overloop, our product, reveals a phone number for 5 credits, charged only when one is found, and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same prospect record. Plans start at $69 per user per month with 250 credits.

Pricing: two quotes
Cognism (Cognism pricing, September 28, 2026) shows two Sales Prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats included, and says pricing is tailored to the product, the team setup and usage. Credits are included per seat; extra credits can be bought at any point. CRM Enrichment and Data-as-a-Service are priced on volume and delivery. No figure is shown, and Vendr had no public Cognism page when we checked.

ZoomInfo publishes no prices; its pricing page routes to sales and served an anti-bot check to our browser on September 28, 2026. Vendr ZoomInfo pricing data reports a median of $33,500 a year across 1,573 purchases, from $7,213 to $155,820. That is third-party contract data, not a list price.
Cost per phone number
| Tool | Plan | How we computed it | Price per phone number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cognism | Standard and Pro | Quote only; 1 credit reveals a full contact | Not published |
| ZoomInfo | All editions | No price or credit cost published | Not published |
| Overloop | Starter or Growth | Phone reveal draws on the plan's shared credits | 5 credits, only on a match (see pricing) |
When both quotes arrive, divide the annual contract by the number of mobile reveals it allows, and ask whether a revealed contact without a mobile still consumes a credit. Cognism's rule counts the contact, not the field.
Data and coverage
Cognism's Cognism data page describes a pipeline that fuses public sources and third-party data, verifies emails and mobiles with machine learning, and screens against 16 do-not-call lists. It states that 95% of director-level and above contacts are refreshed every 30 days and a 3x connect rate with verified mobile numbers. Those are Cognism's own figures. It does not publish a total contact count on that page.
ZoomInfo's ZoomInfo data page declares 500M+ professional profiles, 300M+ verified business emails, 135M+ direct dials and 87% mobile number accuracy, with a regional split: 77.7M+ mobiles in North America, 18.5M+ in Europe, 12.9M+ in Asia. Also ZoomInfo's own figures.

Neither vendor publishes an independent audit covering both, so we do not say one is more accurate. Both offer trials or data samples through sales; send each the same 200 prospects from your markets and count connected calls.
Workflow
Cognism is a prospecting platform: search with firmographic, technographic and signal filters, AI account research and CSV enrichment. Pro adds intent data and on-demand verification, where you submit priority prospects for a fresh mobile check. ZoomInfo is a broader platform: data, intent, CRM and warehouse enrichment and engagement tools across sales, marketing and operations editions. It serves 35,000+ companies, according to its ZoomInfo about page.
Integrations
Cognism's Cognism integrations names Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics, Outreach, Salesloft, Zapier and Make. ZoomInfo's data page names Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Outreach and Snowflake. Both enrich CRM records on an ongoing basis as a separate product line.
Verdict by team type
- Team calling the UK and continental Europe: Cognism first on the shortlist, and test ZoomInfo's 18.5M+ European mobiles against it.
- Team calling North America: ZoomInfo first, on declared mobile coverage.
- Team of 2 or 3 sellers: neither package is sized for you. Kaspr, owned by Cognism, is the self-serve route to similar data.
- RevOps buying data plus intent and warehouse delivery: ZoomInfo, if the contract fits.
- Team that wants the number on the sequence record: Overloop, if you want the revealed phone number and the email and LinkedIn sequence on one prospect record. 5 credits per revealed number, only on a match. Overloop has no built-in dialer.
Our Cognism alternatives guide covers self-serve options if both quotes come back too high.
A third option: Overloop
Overloop is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. It is not a pure data vendor. Overloop finds the work email and the phone number of a prospect and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same record, so the number does not have to travel through a CSV before anyone uses it.
For phone data, the Overloop phone number finder queries several data sources in turn and stops at the first match. A revealed number costs 5 credits, charged only when a number is found; an empty search uses no phone-search credits. Overloop finds emails with its email finder and sources new prospects from an advertised 450M+ B2B contact database. Credits are one shared meter across sourcing, email finding and phone reveal. Starter is $69 per user per month with 250 credits and Growth is $99 per user per month with 500 credits; the credit rules sit on the pricing page.
Where we lose: for large enterprise data contracts with intent, warehouse delivery and governance, Cognism and ZoomInfo are built for that and we are not. Overloop has no built-in dialer, so revealed numbers feed call tasks and CSV exports. We do not publish a phone match rate, because a rate measured on our lists would not predict yours. Run the reveal on 50 prospects you already know before you decide.
Too small for an enterprise data contract?
Overloop reveals phone numbers for 5 credits each, only when one is found, and sends the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same prospect record.

This is desk research, not a lab test. On September 28, 2026 we opened each vendor's official pricing page and the data pages linked below as a logged-out visitor, rendered them in a browser, and recorded plan prices, credits and the credit cost of a phone number. Price per number assumes every credit on the plan goes to phone numbers, which is the ceiling, not a typical month: emails, exports and other features draw on the same credits at most vendors. Coverage figures are what each vendor declares about its own data. We did not run a paid trial of either tool and we do not rank data accuracy, because no independent audit covering both was available. ZoomInfo's pricing page blocked our automated browser on September 28, 2026, which is why its price comes from Vendr. Methodology notes for the blog sit on our methodology page.

Frequently asked questions
Is Cognism better than ZoomInfo?
For Europe-focused calling and compliance, Cognism is usually the stronger shortlist pick: it markets phone-verified mobiles, checks 16 do-not-call lists and charges 1 credit per revealed contact. For North America and the broadest declared database, ZoomInfo is stronger: 500M+ profiles and 77.7M+ North American mobiles, per its data page on September 28, 2026.
Is Cognism cheaper than ZoomInfo?
Neither publishes a price, so there is no list price to compare. Vendr's contract data puts ZoomInfo's median buyer at $33,500 a year; Cognism packages start with 5 seats and are quoted. Request both quotes with the same seats and the credit cost of a mobile number.
How do Cognism credits work?
One credit reveals, enriches or exports one contact. Viewing a contact you already revealed is free, and a credit is used again only if that contact changes jobs, according to Cognism's pricing page. Each seat includes credits and more can be bought at any time.
Does ZoomInfo have good European data?
ZoomInfo's data page declares 66M+ contacts and 18.5M+ mobile numbers in Europe, against 157.8M+ contacts and 77.7M+ mobiles in North America. Whether that covers your countries is a test to run on your own list.
What is Cognism's relationship with Kaspr?
Cognism owns Kaspr. Kaspr is the self-serve LinkedIn extension with published prices, from $49 a month on annual billing for 100 phone credits a month; Cognism is the quote-based platform for larger teams.
Is there an option for a small team?
Yes. Kaspr and Lusha publish their prices. If the number should feed an email and LinkedIn sequence, Overloop reveals phone numbers for 5 credits each, only when one is found, from $69 per user per month.
