Clearbit still has a homepage, but the product most teams bought is gone. HubSpot acquired Clearbit in December 2023, launched it inside HubSpot as Breeze Intelligence, retired the free Clearbit tools in 2025, and now documents the feature simply as data enrichment. If you are on HubSpot, that successor is included with paid seats. If you are not, or if you need contact phone numbers, you need another tool. This guide compares 9 of them on how they source data, what an entry plan costs, and what one phone number costs in dollars.
Publisher disclosure: Overloop publishes this guide and is our first recommendation for SMB teams that want contact data and outreach in one tool. The other 8 options address specific requirements, and several beat Overloop on raw phone volume per dollar. Recommendations use public vendor sources read on September 28, 2026; we did not run a comparative product trial. Method and dated sources.
Quick comparison: Clearbit today and 9 alternatives
Prices read on each vendor's official pricing page on September 28, 2026. The price per phone number is our arithmetic from those pages.
| Tool | Phone data approach | Entry price | Price per phone number | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clearbit (HubSpot data enrichment) | HubSpot commercial dataset, third-party providers and public web data | Included with paid HubSpot Core Seats | No contact phone field (company phone only) | Inbound enrichment and routing inside HubSpot |
| Overloop | Several sources queried in sequence, one prospect or a whole list | $69 per user per month | 5 credits, only on a match (see pricing) | SMB teams wanting data plus email and LinkedIn sequences |
| Apollo.io | Proprietary database plus enrichment | $49 per seat per month, annual | $0.16 (Basic, 8 credits per number) | Volume prospecting with sequences and a US dialer |
| Clay | Orchestrates 150+ providers in custom waterfalls | $167 per month, annual (Launch) | Varies by provider; not published | Ops teams that build their own enrichment |
| Lusha | Proprietary database, extension and platform | $37.45 per user per month, yearly | $0.47 (Starter yearly, 5 credits per number) | A like-for-like extension with a free tier |
| Cognism | Proprietary database with mobile verification on Pro | Custom, 5 seats included | Not published (1 credit per contact) | Mid-market teams with procurement |
| FullEnrich | Waterfall across 25+ sources, pay on success | $29 per month for 500 credits | $0.55 per mobile found (1,000 credits), $0.35 at 100,000 | Bulk enrichment of lists you already own |
| UpLead | Proprietary database with real-time verification | $74 per month, yearly | $0.44 per contact (Essentials yearly) | Small US teams wanting email and mobile per credit |
| Surfe | LinkedIn extension with a 15+ provider waterfall | $39 per user per month, annual | $0.78 (Essential annual), $0.98 monthly | Extension users who want a waterfall and CRM sync |
| BetterContact | Waterfall across 20+ providers, pay on success | $15 per month for 200 credits | $0.49 per mobile found ($49 plan) | Cheap waterfall enrichment billed monthly |
Entry price and price per phone number are computed from the vendor pricing page as read on September 28, 2026: plan price divided by the phone numbers it includes, or pack price divided by credits multiplied by credits per number. Annual prices require an annual commitment. Taxes, seat minimums and add-ons change the total. The Overloop cell stays in credits: 5 per revealed number, charged only when a number is found.
What changes when you leave Clearbit
- Clearbit as a standalone product is effectively gone: the free platform, Clearbit Connect and the weekly visitor report were sunset on April 30, 2025, and the Logo API on December 1, 2025.
- HubSpot's data enrichment enriches contacts from a business email and companies from a domain. Its contact fields are job and location data plus a LinkedIn URL; phone number appears only as a company property.
- So a Clearbit alternative is either a HubSpot-independent enrichment layer (Clay, FullEnrich, Apollo) or a contact-data tool that adds the phones and emails Clearbit never focused on (Lusha, UpLead, Overloop).
- Per phone number, the published range runs from about $0.16 at Apollo to $0.78 at Surfe; Cognism publishes no rate.
- Pay-on-success waterfalls (FullEnrich, BetterContact, Overloop) charge nothing for an empty search, which changes the math on hard segments.
- Every price here was read on the vendor page on September 28, 2026 and will move; open the source link before buying.
Clearbit today: what an alternative must replace
On September 28, 2026, clearbit.com showed a single message, "Clearbit has joined HubSpot", and a customer login. Clearbit's own blog post of February 13, 2025 says HubSpot acquired the company in December 2023, launched Breeze Intelligence at INBOUND 2024, and set the sunset dates for the free tools. HubSpot's knowledge base, last updated July 10, 2026, now calls the feature data enrichment and lists it with Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions of Marketing, Sales, Service, Data and Content Hub, and with Smart CRM and Revenue Hub on Professional and Enterprise. Here is where each Clearbit job went:
| What Clearbit did | Where it is on September 28, 2026 | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Contact and company enrichment | HubSpot data enrichment: automatic, continuous, manual or bulk, from a business email (contacts) or a domain (companies) | Included with paid Core Seats; HubSpot says it does not consume HubSpot Credits |
| Form shortening | HubSpot form shortening, powered by the same dataset | Included |
| Weekly visitor report (IP reveal) | Sunset April 30, 2025; HubSpot points to its buyer intent feature | Buyer intent actions consume HubSpot Credits |
| Clearbit Connect (email finder in Gmail) | Sunset April 30, 2025, with no direct replacement named | Not available |
| Logo API | Sunset December 1, 2025; Clearbit pointed users to Logo.dev | Not available |
| Contact phone numbers | Not in HubSpot's list of enrichable contact properties; phone number is listed as a company property | Not available |
Sources: Clearbit homepage, read September 28, 2026. The Future of Clearbit’s Free Tools (Clearbit blog, February 13, 2025), read September 28, 2026. HubSpot Knowledge Base: Get started with data enrichment, read September 28, 2026. HubSpot Knowledge Base: Enrich your contact and company data, read September 28, 2026. HubSpot Sales Hub pricing, read September 28, 2026. HubSpot lists data enrichment as a Core Seat feature; seat prices were not legible in the page text on our read, so we do not quote them.

HubSpot also documents 2 limits that matter: contacts must have a business email, so Gmail or Yahoo addresses are not enriched, and only records with available values are filled. So an alternative has to replace one or more of 3 things: enrichment outside HubSpot, contact-level phone and email data, or website visitor identification. For the last one, see our RB2B alternatives guide; this page focuses on contact data.
1. Overloop: best for teams that want the number, the email and the sequence in one tool
Best for: SMB sales teams that want to find phone numbers and emails and then run email and LinkedIn sequences from the same prospect record, at a published per-seat price.
Overloop is our first recommendation, and we publish this guide, so weigh that. Clearbit and its HubSpot successor enrich records you already have: you bring a business email or a domain and get job titles, seniority and firmographics back. Neither gives you a contact's phone number. Overloop starts from the other end: you build or import a prospect list, find the email and the phone number, and put the prospect straight into an email and LinkedIn sequence.
Overloop finds a phone number from the prospect record. You click Find phone on one prospect, or run it in bulk on a list, and Overloop checks several phone-data sources in sequence and stops at the first match. It charges 5 credits per revealed number, and only when a number is found; an empty search uses no phone-search credits. The number stays on the prospect and exports to CSV. Overloop documents the flow on its phone number finder page.

Overloop pricing is per user. Starter is $69 per user per month with 250 credits and 1 connected email account. Growth is $99 per user per month with 500 credits and 3 connected email accounts. The same credits source prospects from Overloop's advertised 450M+ B2B contact database and find emails, and the seat also runs email and LinkedIn sequences and a Chrome extension that adds LinkedIn profiles as prospects. We do not quote a dollar price per phone number for Overloop in this guide; the credit rule and plan prices are on Overloop pricing.
Limits to know: there is no built-in dialer, so revealed numbers go to your calling tool or a CSV. The lookup works best when the prospect record carries a LinkedIn profile; a name alone may not be enough. Finding a number does not confirm that it is current or a mobile. LinkedIn steps in sequences stay subject to LinkedIn's rules, and CRM integration scope varies by plan. We publish no match rate for Overloop, because a rate measured on our lists would not predict yours.
Choose it over HubSpot data enrichment when: you need direct phone numbers and emails for outbound, not only firmographics on inbound leads, and you want the outreach in the same tool. Stay with HubSpot data enrichment when: your use case is inbound form shortening, lead scoring and routing inside HubSpot, where enrichment is included with paid seats. Source: Overloop pricing, read September 28, 2026.
2. Apollo.io: best for replacing Clearbit prospecting and enrichment with one credit pool
Best for: teams that used Clearbit to search accounts and enrich contacts, and now want a database, enrichment, sequences and phone numbers outside HubSpot.
Apollo combines a large contact database with email sequences, a US dialer and deal management. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page listed Free at $0 with 900 credits per seat per year, Basic at $49 per seat per month billed annually with 30,000 credits per seat per year, Professional at $79 with 48,000 credits, and Organization at $119 with a 3-seat minimum and 72,000 credits. Accessing a phone number uses 8 credits and enrichment uses up to 9 credits per record. The page shows a 14-day trial on paid plans and a 24 percent saving on annual billing.
Price per number: Basic is $588 a year for 30,000 credits, which is 3,750 phone numbers at 8 credits each, so about $0.16 per phone number. That is the lowest credit-metered phone rate in this guide, provided you use the credits within the year.
Limits to know: the dialer is US-only and consumes credits, the Free plan caps CRM enrichment at 100 records a month, and annual credits are granted upfront and expire with the term.
Pick it when: you want the broadest contact search plus phones at the lowest credit-metered rate, and you are fine running outreach in Apollo. Source: Apollo pricing, read September 28, 2026.
3. Clay: best for rebuilding Clearbit enrichment as a custom waterfall
Best for: RevOps and growth teams that used the Clearbit API in their own workflows and want to choose the providers, the order and the fields.
Clay is a spreadsheet-style GTM workspace that orchestrates 150+ data providers in waterfalls, with an AI research agent and an email sequencer. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page listed Free with 100 data credits and 500 actions a month and no phone enrichment, Launch at $185 per month on monthly billing or $167 on annual billing with 2,500 data credits and 15,000 actions a month and phone enrichment included, Growth from $495 per month, and custom Enterprise. Data credits start at $0.05 each.
Price per number: not fixed. The data-credit cost of a phone number depends on which provider in your waterfall returns it, so Clay publishes no single per-number rate.
Limits to know: there are two meters, data credits and actions, the phone rate depends on the provider, phone enrichment is not on the Free plan, and building tables takes real ops time. Our Clay alternatives guide covers simpler options.
Pick it when: you want Clearbit-style enrichment and scoring logic that you control, pushed into any CRM, and you have someone to own it. Source: Clay pricing, read September 28, 2026.
4. Lusha: best for adding direct phones and emails to CRM records
Best for: sales teams that need the contact fields Clearbit never filled well: direct phone numbers and verified emails, from an extension or in bulk.
Lusha is a contact database with a browser extension, a web platform and CRM integrations. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page, on yearly billing, listed Free at $0 with 40 credits a month, Starter at $37.45 per month with 4,800 credits a year, Pro at $52.45 per month with 7,200 credits a year, and Premium at $299.95 per month with 40,800 credits a year. An email reveal costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 5 credits.
Price per number: Starter costs $449.40 a year for 4,800 credits. Spent only on phones, that is 960 numbers, so about $0.47 per phone number. Every email you reveal comes out of the same pool. The Free plan now lists automated email sequences among its features.
Limits to know: one credit pool covers emails and phones, so heavy email enrichment eats the phone budget; Lusha is contact-first, and if you mostly need firmographics for routing, HubSpot's own enrichment already covers them.
Pick it when: your reps need a number next to the name and you want a free tier to start. Source: Lusha pricing, read September 28, 2026.
5. Cognism: best for mid-market teams that want enrichment and prospecting on one contract
Best for: teams with 5 or more sellers and a procurement process who want contact data, CRM enrichment and an API under one credit model.
Cognism sells prospecting, CRM enrichment and data-as-a-service packages. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page described 2 Sales Prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats included, and a credit model where 1 credit reveals, enriches or exports 1 contact, shared across the platform, Enrich and the API. Pro adds what the page calls advanced prospecting workflows. No price is shown.
Price per number: not published. A credit covers a whole contact, so the per-number cost depends on your quote and on how many revealed contacts carry a mobile.
Limits to know: there is no self-serve signup and no published price, and a 5-seat package does not fit a 2-person team. See our Cognism alternatives if the quote is too high.
Pick it when: you are replacing an enterprise Clearbit contract and want one vendor for prospecting, Enrich and the API. Source: Cognism pricing, read September 28, 2026.
6. FullEnrich: best for filling mobiles and emails on CRM exports, pay on success
Best for: ops teams that export contacts from HubSpot or another CRM, want mobiles and emails filled across 25+ sources, and only want to pay for what is found.
FullEnrich is a waterfall enrichment engine: you upload a list, call the API or use its MCP server, and it queries 25+ sources in turn. On September 28, 2026 the pricing page showed a Free trial with 50 credits and no card, Pro from 500 credits a month, and a custom Enterprise plan. The page displayed euros to our European visitor (€55 a month for 1,000 credits, €0.055 per credit); FullEnrich's machine-readable pricing summary, which states that it mirrors the public page, gives the USD tiers: $29 a month for 500 credits, $55 for 1,000, $499 for 10,000 and $3,500 for 100,000, with annual plans from $26 a month. A mobile number costs 10 credits, a work email 1 and a personal email 3. Credits are spent only when data is found and verified, and a landline returned instead of a mobile costs nothing. Users are unlimited, and credits roll over for 3 months on monthly plans and 12 months on annual plans.

Price per number: $55 buys 1,000 credits, or 100 mobiles, so $0.55 per mobile found on the 1,000-credit tier, $0.49 on the 12,000-credit annual tier ($588 a year), and $0.35 on the 100,000-credit monthly tier. FullEnrich states its email and phone find rate averages around 80 percent, and that it depends on industry and geography.
Limits to know: no outreach, and on the pricing page the native "Enrich contacts already in HubSpot" feature was marked as coming soon on our read, so today you push contacts to HubSpot or work through a CSV or the API.
Pick it when: you enrich lists in bulk and want pay-on-success pricing with unlimited users. Source: FullEnrich pricing and its machine-readable summary, read September 28, 2026.
7. UpLead: best for a flat price per contact with email verification
Best for: small teams that want email and mobile direct dial included in one credit and a verification step before export.
UpLead is a B2B contact database with real-time email verification. One credit unlocks one contact, email and mobile direct dial included. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page listed a 7-day free trial with 5 credits, Essentials at $99 per month with 170 credits or $74 per month billed yearly with 2,040 credits a year, Plus at $199 per month with 400 credits or $149 per month billed yearly with 4,800 credits a year, and a custom Professional team plan. Additional credits cost $0.60 or $0.50 each depending on plan. The page states a 95 percent email accuracy rate; treat that as a vendor claim.

Price per contact: Essentials yearly is $888 for 2,040 contacts, so about $0.44 per contact, $0.58 on monthly billing, and about $0.37 on Plus yearly. That is a price per contact unlocked, not per phone number: the cost per number is higher on any segment where UpLead has no mobile on file.
Limits to know: Free, Essentials and Plus are single-user accounts, so a team needs the custom Professional plan; the allowance is small next to Apollo, and there is no outreach layer.
Pick it when: you want predictable cost per contact and do not want to think in phone credits. Source: UpLead pricing, read September 28, 2026.
8. Surfe: best for CRM-first teams who prospect on LinkedIn
Best for: sellers who live in LinkedIn and want each reveal to pass through a waterfall and land in the CRM in one click.
Surfe is a LinkedIn and Sales Navigator extension whose reveals run through what the vendor calls multi-source waterfall enrichment across 15+ providers, with CRM sync on top. On September 28, 2026 the pricing page listed Free at $0 with 20 email and 5 mobile find credits a month, Essential at $49 per user per month or $39 billed annually with 150 email and 50 mobile credits a month, Pro at $89 or $79 annually with 1,000 email and 100 mobile credits, and custom Enterprise. A separate CRM connector module costs $29 a month.
Price per number: Essential on annual billing is $468 a year for 600 mobile credits, so about $0.78 per mobile, and $0.98 on monthly billing. Pro on annual billing is about $0.79. Email and mobile credits are separate meters, so emails never eat your phone budget.
Limits to know: the CRM connector module is sold separately at $29 a month, and 50 mobile credits a month on Essential is a small allowance.
Pick it when: you want LinkedIn reveals with CRM sync and separate email and phone meters. Source: Surfe pricing, read September 28, 2026.
9. BetterContact: best for the cheapest pay-on-success waterfall
Best for: small teams that want mobiles and emails from 20+ providers at a low monthly price, charged only on valid data.
BetterContact is a waterfall enrichment tool that checks 20+ providers for emails and mobile numbers. On September 28, 2026 its pricing page listed a $15 per month plan with 200 credits, a $49 per month plan with 1,000 credits and larger tiers up to 50,000 credits, and an enterprise plan from $799 per month, all billed monthly. A mobile number costs 10 credits and an email 1. The FAQ states that credits are charged only after valid data is found and verified. A feature it calls Connect Intelligence scores each mobile by its likelihood to connect, and the page says you are only charged for numbers scored likely to connect.
Price per number: the $49 plan buys 100 mobiles, so $0.49 per mobile found; the $15 plan works out at $0.75.
Limits to know: plans were billed monthly on our read; there is no firmographic routing like Clearbit and no outreach.
Pick it when: you want waterfall phone data for $15 to $49 a month without a contract. Source: BetterContact pricing, read September 28, 2026.
Other Clearbit alternatives worth a look
Other roundups for this query also list tools that replace a different Clearbit job. We did not price them here, because they solve a different problem than contact phone data.
- RB2B and Leadfeeder (Dealfront): website visitor identification, the job of the retired Clearbit weekly visitor report. Our RB2B alternatives guide compares that category.
- Dropcontact: a French B2B email finder that enriches, deduplicates and updates CRM contacts, which it describes as 100% GDPR compliant. It targets emails and CRM hygiene rather than phone numbers.
- 6sense and Demandbase: enterprise account-based platforms with intent data, a fit if you used Clearbit for account scoring at scale rather than for contact data.
- ZoomInfo: the enterprise contact and company database. Its pricing page could not be read by our automated check on September 28, 2026, so we list no price.
How to choose a Clearbit alternative
| If your priority is... | Shortlist | What to verify before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Firmographics and form shortening inside HubSpot | Stay on HubSpot data enrichment | Your edition and seats, business-email coverage of your inbound |
| Enrichment outside HubSpot, your own logic | Clay, FullEnrich, Apollo | Provider list, meters (credits and actions), CRM push |
| Contact phone numbers and emails for outbound | Overloop, Lusha, Apollo, UpLead | Price per number, shared or separate email meter, what happens after the reveal |
| Pay only for what is found | FullEnrich, BetterContact, Overloop | Credits per mobile, rollover, landline handling |
| One enterprise contract for data and API | Cognism | Seat minimums, credit allocation, API scope |
| LinkedIn-first reveals with CRM sync | Surfe, Lusha | Mobile credits per month, CRM connector pricing |
Run the arithmetic on 100 phone numbers a month, the volume where most small teams start. At Apollo that is 800 credits against a 30,000-credit annual pool on Basic. At FullEnrich it is 1,000 credits, or $55 on the monthly tier. At Lusha it is 500 credits, more than a Starter month holds. At UpLead it is 100 contacts, if every one carries a mobile. At Overloop it is 500 credits, charged only on found numbers, inside a seat that also sends the sequences. Then add the sending tool you would still need, and read our B2B data enrichment guide before you commit to one provider.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clearbit still working?
Not as a standalone product. On September 28, 2026 clearbit.com showed "Clearbit has joined HubSpot" and a customer login. The free Clearbit platform, Clearbit Connect, the weekly visitor report, the TAM calculator and the free Slack integration were sunset on April 30, 2025, and the Logo API on December 1, 2025. The enrichment itself lives on inside HubSpot as data enrichment.
Is Clearbit owned by HubSpot?
Yes. Clearbit's own blog says HubSpot acquired it in December 2023. HubSpot relaunched it as Breeze Intelligence at INBOUND 2024, and its knowledge base now documents the feature as data enrichment.
How much does Clearbit cost now?
There is no separate Clearbit price. HubSpot lists data enrichment as a Core Seat feature on paid Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions, and its knowledge base states that data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits. Features such as smart properties and buyer intent do consume credits. HubSpot seat prices vary by edition and billing term, so check HubSpot pricing for your case.
Is Clearbit Connect free?
Clearbit Connect no longer exists. It was one of the free tools sunset on April 30, 2025. For a free way to look up a few contacts, Lusha lists 40 free credits a month, Apollo 900 credits per seat per year, and FullEnrich 50 trial credits.
Does HubSpot data enrichment find phone numbers?
Not for contacts. HubSpot's list of enrichable contact properties covers name, job title, role, seniority, location and LinkedIn URL. Phone number appears in the company property list, so you get a company line, not a direct or mobile number. To find a contact's phone number you need a contact-data tool such as Lusha, Apollo, FullEnrich or Overloop.
What is the best Clearbit alternative?
For outbound contact data, Overloop is our first recommendation: it finds the email and the phone number and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence in one tool. Apollo has the lowest credit-metered price per phone number, about $0.16. For enrichment outside HubSpot, Clay and FullEnrich rebuild Clearbit as a waterfall. For inbound enrichment inside HubSpot, keep HubSpot's own data enrichment. Overloop publishes this guide.
How we compared Clearbit alternatives
This is desk research on documented capabilities and public pricing, not a lab test. On September 28, 2026 we opened each vendor's official pricing page as a logged-out visitor in a browser and recorded the entry price, the phone allowance or credit cost, and the plan structure. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than estimate one. We excluded star ratings, modelled savings and third-party price estimates, and we quote match or find rates only as the vendor's own statement. The criteria, in order of weight:
- Phone data approach. A single proprietary database, a waterfall across several providers, or an extension that reveals one profile at a time?
- Which Clearbit job it replaces. Enrichment of records you own, contact-level phone and email data, or both?
- Price per phone number. Plan price divided by the phone numbers it includes, or pack price divided by credits and multiplied by the credits one number costs. Where a vendor meters exports or contacts instead, we say so.
- What happens after the reveal. Does the number stay in the tool, export to CSV, sync to a CRM, or feed a sequence?
- Buying friction. Card and 5 minutes, or demo, quote and annual contract?

Bottom line
Clearbit was an enrichment layer, and inside HubSpot it still is. If that is all you used, you may not need an alternative at all. If you left HubSpot, need an API you control, or need the one thing Clearbit never gave you, a direct phone number on the contact, pick by job: Clay or FullEnrich to rebuild enrichment, Apollo for the lowest credit-metered phone rate, Lusha or UpLead for contact-first data.
Overloop is the pick when the phone number and the email have to go straight into outreach: Overloop finds both from the prospect record, charges 5 credits per phone number only when one is found, and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same seat. Overloop lists its plans on its pricing page and explains the lookup on its phone number finder page.
