Cognism sells verified mobile data, compliance screening and Bombora intent on a quote you cannot self-serve. Compare 10 alternatives for B2B phone numbers and emails, from published per-seat extensions to outreach platforms that include the data under one price.
Cognism earns its reputation the hard way: Diamond Data mobile verification, DNC and compliance screening built into the platform, and Bombora intent layered on top. What it will not do is tell you the price. Every plan routes to a sales conversation, the entry package assumes 5 seats, and the self-serve habit of clicking "buy" and getting a login does not exist. This guide compares 10 alternatives on how they source phone data, what an entry seat costs when the vendor actually publishes one, what one phone number costs in credits, and who each tool fits.
Publisher disclosure: Overloop publishes this guide and is our first recommendation for small European sales teams that want phone reveal, email finding and sequences in one tool at a published per-seat price. The other 9 options address specific requirements, and several match or beat Cognism's own strengths in narrower ways. Recommendations use public vendor sources; we did not run a comparative product trial. Method and dated sources.
What changes when you leave Cognism
- Cognism publishes no price; its Sales Prospecting packages start at a 5-seat minimum sold through a sales call, so a 2 or 3-person team does not fit the shape of the deal.
- Cognism owns Kaspr, its own self-serve sister product, which publishes prices from $49 a month with 100 phone credits.
- Phone numbers are the expensive field everywhere: 5 credits at Lusha, Kaspr and Overloop, 8 at Apollo, 10 at FullEnrich, versus 1 credit for an email.
- Only Overloop and Apollo put phone data and outreach sequences under one subscription; the rest are data layers you pair with a sender or a CRM.
- ZoomInfo and Cognism itself are the two quote-only enterprise options here; everything else in this guide shows a number before you sign up.
- Every price below was read on the vendor page on September 15, 2026 and will move; open the source link before buying.
How we evaluated Cognism alternatives
This is desk research on documented capabilities and public pricing, not a lab test. On September 15, 2026 we opened each vendor's official pricing page as a logged-out visitor and recorded the entry price, the phone credit cost or allowance, and the plan structure. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so, including Cognism itself. Where a page shows both billing periods, we report both. We excluded star ratings, match-rate percentages and modelled savings, because none of those can be verified from a pricing page. 4 questions decided whether a tool belongs here and where it ranks:
- Phone data approach. Is it a single proprietary database, a waterfall across several providers, or an extension that reveals one profile at a time?
- Cost of a phone number. How many credits does a reveal consume, and how many reveals does the entry plan buy if you spent every credit on phones?
- What happens after the reveal. Does the number stay in the tool, export to CSV, sync to a CRM, or feed a sequence or call task?
- Buying friction. Card and 5 minutes, or demo, quote and annual contract?
Cognism benchmark: what an alternative must replace
Cognism is a mid-market and enterprise data platform, and it owns Kaspr. On September 15, 2026 its pricing page listed 2 Sales Prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each including 5 seats, with no dollar figure shown anywhere on the page. Standard covers contact and company data, list building, AI research and CSV enrichment. Pro adds what the page calls higher-quality, accurate mobile data, on-demand mobile verification, and intent-based priority accounts, which is where Bombora intent and the Diamond Data mobile verification the brand is known for actually live. The credit system is simple to describe even without a price: 1 credit reveals, enriches or exports 1 contact, and reviewing a contact you already revealed is free. CRM Enrichment and a separate Data-as-a-Service option are sold the same way, with the page describing usage-based pricing that varies by delivery method and data requirements. The honest entry is custom pricing, not published.
Source: Cognism pricing, read September 15, 2026. No price appears anywhere on the page; the only call to action is a sales conversation.
So an alternative has to replace 3 things Cognism does not make you guess at, or 3 things it does uniquely well depending on which way you are moving: a phone reveal that happens where the seller already works, a credit allowance you can size against your own volume before you sign anything, and, if compliance screening and verified mobile coverage across Europe are the actual reason you were evaluating Cognism, a vendor that can match that without a contract you cannot preview.
Quick comparison: Cognism and 10 alternatives
| Tool | Phone data approach | Entry price | Phone cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cognism | Proprietary database with on-demand mobile verification and Bombora intent | Custom pricing, not published | 1 credit reveals a full contact | Mid-market teams with procurement and compliance needs |
| Overloop | Several providers queried in sequence, in-app and bulk | $69 per user per month | 5 credits per number | Small European teams wanting data plus sequences at a published price |
| Lusha | Proprietary database, extension and platform | $37.45 per user per month, annual | 5 credits per number | Cheapest published-price extension swap |
| Kaspr | LinkedIn extension reveal, owned by Cognism | $49 per month, annual | 100 phone credits a month on Starter | Solo sellers who want Cognism's data with a self-serve price |
| Apollo.io | Proprietary database plus waterfall enrichment | $49 per seat per month, annual | 8 credits per number | Volume prospecting with sequences and a US dialer |
| UpLead | Proprietary database with real-time verification | $74 per month, annual | Mobile direct dials included per credit | Small US-focused teams that want a flat credit |
| FullEnrich | Waterfall across 25+ sources | €55 per month, 1,000 credits | 10 credits per number | Bulk enrichment of lists you already own |
| RocketReach | Proprietary database, lookups | $19 per month, annual, email only | Included in Pro lookups from $52 per month | Person search outside LinkedIn with refunded misses |
| Lead411 | Proprietary database, exports bundle phone and email | $49 per month | Direct phone numbers included in plan exports | US teams that want intent data as a line item, not a contract |
| Dealfront | Visitor identification plus credit-based contact enrichment | €79 per month, annual, entry tier | Direct dials via credits on Activate and up | DACH and EU teams that start from website visitor intent |
| ZoomInfo | Proprietary database and intent | Custom pricing, not published | Not published | Enterprise revenue teams already comfortable with a quote |
Entry price and phone cost are quoted as listed on the vendor pricing page on September 15, 2026. Annual prices require an annual commitment. Taxes, seat minimums and add-ons change the total. Currency is shown as the vendor displayed it.
1. Overloop: best for small European teams that want phone and email data inside their sequences at a published price
Best for: small European sales teams that want to reveal phone numbers, find emails and run email plus LinkedIn sequences in one tool, at a price you can read before you talk to sales.
Overloop is our first recommendation, and we publish this guide, so weigh that. The case against Cognism is structural, not a claim about whose data is more accurate. Cognism sells a mobile number as part of a 5-seat, quote-only package built for a procurement process. Overloop sells the same category of reveal, priced per seat, no call required. Since September 15, 2026, you click Find phone on a prospect, or run it in bulk on a list, and Overloop queries several phone-data providers in sequence, stopping at the first match. A revealed number costs 5 credits. Numbers export to CSV. The phone number finder page describes the flow.
Pricing is per user. Starter is $69 per user per month with 250 credits and 1 connected email account. Growth is $99 per user per month with 500 credits, 3 email accounts and the HubSpot and Pipedrive integrations. Enterprise is custom with 1,000 credits and adds Salesforce. Every plan has a 7-day free trial. Credits are the single meter: 1 credit to source a prospect from the 450M+ advertised database, 1 credit to find a valid email, 5 credits to reveal a phone number. If you spent every Starter credit on phones you would get 50 numbers; on Growth, 100. Overloop's price also buys the sequences, the Chrome extension that adds LinkedIn profiles as prospects, and the sending infrastructure a Cognism contract does not include at all. See Overloop pricing.
Limits to know: there is no built-in dialer, so phone numbers feed call tasks and exports rather than a click-to-call. There is no intent data layer and no Bombora-style buying-signal feed, so if that was the reason you were talking to Cognism, this is not a replacement for it. LinkedIn steps in sequences remain subject to LinkedIn's platform rules. We do not publish a phone match rate, because a rate measured on our lists would not predict yours.
Choose it over Cognism when: you are a small team that wants a self-serve price today rather than a sales cycle, and the number needs to end up in a sequence the same day. Stay with Cognism when: compliance screening, DNC handling and verified mobile coverage across Europe at scale are the actual requirement and a 5-seat contract is not a problem.
2. Lusha: best for the cheapest published-price extension swap
Best for: teams that want a self-serve, per-seat contact database with a free tier, without a sales conversation.
Lusha is a contact database with a browser extension, a web platform, CRM integrations and a credit meter, all priced on the page. On September 15, 2026 the pricing page listed Free at $0 with 40 credits a month, Starter at $49.90 per month or $37.45 per month billed annually with 400 credits a month, Professional at $69.90 or $52.45 annually with 600 credits, and Premium at $399.90 or $299.95 annually with 3,400 credits. An email reveal costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 5 credits, so Starter's 400 credits are 80 phone numbers if you reveal nothing else. Unused monthly credits roll over up to twice the credit limit. Teams larger than 5 users are routed to sales, which is the point at which Lusha starts to resemble the Cognism buying process.
Limits to know: the meter is shared between emails and phones, so heavy email reveal eats your phone budget. No sequences, no sender, no dialer, no intent layer. Read our full Lusha alternatives comparison if you land here and still want more.
Choose it over Cognism when: you want a number on the page and a free tier to test before you commit. Source: Lusha pricing, read September 15, 2026.
3. Kaspr: best for solo sellers who want Cognism's data with a self-serve price
Best for: individual reps or small teams who want the reveal-from-LinkedIn workflow with a monthly card charge instead of a Cognism sales call.
Cognism owns Kaspr, and Kaspr is the self-serve front door to the same phone data promise, sold as a LinkedIn extension. You reveal contact data from a profile, a Sales Navigator list or a LinkedIn search, then export or push to a CRM. On September 15, 2026 the pricing page listed Free at $0 with 5 phone credits and 15 B2B email credits a month, Starter at $49 a month billed annually or $65 monthly with 100 phone credits a month and unlimited B2B email credits, Business at $79 billed annually or $99 monthly with 200 phone credits a month, and a custom Enterprise plan described as unlimited credits. The page also shows EUR and GBP prices, and additional phone credits can be purchased separately, priced from roughly €0.35 down to €0.20 each at volume.
Limits to know: the phone credit cap is the same constraint Cognism customers eventually outgrow, and there is no outreach layer, so a sequencing tool is a second subscription. If the credit cap is your actual problem, see the full Kaspr alternatives comparison.
Choose it over Cognism's own quoted packages when: a single seat or a small team does not meet the 5-seat minimum Cognism sells against. Source: Kaspr pricing, read September 15, 2026.
4. Apollo.io: best for volume prospecting with sequences and a dialer
Best for: teams that want a large database, email sequences and calling in one login, and can live with a US-centric feature set.
Apollo is the credit-rich, fully self-serve option. On September 15, 2026 its pricing page listed Free at $0 with 900 credits per seat per year, Basic at $49 per seat per month billed annually with 30,000 credits per seat per year, Professional at $79 with 48,000 credits, and Organization at $119 with a 3-seat minimum and 72,000 credits. Accessing an email costs 1 credit and accessing a phone number costs 8 credits, and enrichment can consume up to 9 credits per record. Basic's 30,000 annual credits work out to 3,750 phone numbers a year at 8 credits each, an order of magnitude beyond what a Cognism seat's 1-credit-per-contact model buys at any plan we could price, because none of them are priced.
Limits to know: the dialer is US-only and consumes credits, the credit system is being migrated so existing customers may see different rules, and LinkedIn is not a native sequence channel. There is no dedicated intent-data product comparable to Cognism's Bombora integration. Our full Apollo alternatives comparison covers the trade-offs if Apollo itself is not the fit.
Choose it over Cognism when: raw reveal volume per dollar and a self-serve signup matter more than European mobile depth. Source: Apollo pricing, read September 15, 2026.
5. UpLead: best for small US-focused teams that want a flat credit
Best for: small teams that want mobile direct dials included in every credit and a verification step, priced without a sales call.
UpLead charges one credit per contact regardless of whether it includes a mobile number. On September 15, 2026 the pricing page listed a 7-day free trial with 5 credits, Essentials at $99 per month or $74 per month billed yearly for 170 credits a month, Plus at $199 or $149 yearly for 400 credits a month, and a custom Professional plan for teams that need more seats. Mobile direct dials and verified emails are listed as included on all paid tiers, and extra credits are priced at $0.50 to $0.60 each depending on plan. The vendor advertises a 95 percent email accuracy guarantee; treat that as a vendor claim rather than an independently verified figure.
Limits to know: the credit allowance is small next to Apollo, coverage skews to the US rather than the European depth Cognism sells, and there is no LinkedIn overlay or outreach layer.
Choose it over Cognism when: you want phone and email in one flat credit, US-first coverage, and a number on the pricing page. Source: UpLead pricing, read September 15, 2026.
6. FullEnrich: best for bulk enrichment of lists you already own
Best for: ops-minded teams that upload CSVs or call an API and want a waterfall to find mobiles at scale, without a Cognism-style contract.
FullEnrich is not an extension; it is a waterfall enrichment engine that claims 25+ sources and charges only when it finds data. On September 15, 2026 the pricing page showed a Free trial with 50 credits and no card required, a Pro plan at €55 per month for 1,000 credits, described as €0.055 per credit, and a custom Enterprise plan. A work email costs 1 credit, a mobile phone 10 credits, a personal email 3 credits. Users are unlimited on Pro, and credits roll over for 3 months on monthly billing or 12 months on yearly billing. Our guide to waterfall enrichment explains why the multi-source approach behind tools like this and Overloop matters for phone data specifically.
Limits to know: there is no LinkedIn overlay, no outreach, and no compliance screening layer comparable to Cognism's DNC handling; you bring the list and take the enriched file elsewhere.
Choose it over Cognism when: you enrich hundreds of rows at a time and want the price of doing that visible upfront. Source: FullEnrich pricing, read September 15, 2026.
7. RocketReach: best for person search outside LinkedIn with refunded misses
Best for: individuals who look people up by name and company and want a lookup that only costs a credit when it finds something.
RocketReach meters lookups, not credits, and publishes every tier. On September 15, 2026 the annual-billing view listed Essentials at $19 per month, billed $229 a year, for 100 lookups a month and email only; Pro at $52 per month, billed $619 a year, for 250 lookups a month covering email and phone; and Ultimate at $115 per month, billed $1,379 a year, for 1,000 lookups. A lookup is only consumed when a verified email or phone is found, otherwise it is refunded. Free accounts get 5 lookups. Team plans are quoted and the page states they start at $6,000 a year, which is the point where RocketReach starts to look like the Cognism buying process rather than an alternative to it.
Limits to know: phone data is not on the entry tier, and the sequence features are light. See RocketReach alternatives for the trade-offs in detail.
Choose it over Cognism when: you search people outside LinkedIn one at a time and want a refund on empty lookups instead of a quote. Source: RocketReach pricing, read September 15, 2026.
8. Lead411: best for US teams that want intent data as a line item, not a contract
Best for: US-focused teams that want direct phone numbers and buyer intent bundled into an export-based plan rather than a custom package.
Lead411 sells verified emails and direct phone numbers with buyer intent data as a plan feature rather than a Bombora-style add-on you negotiate separately, and it publishes prices. On September 15, 2026 the pricing page listed a 7-day Pilot Light free trial with 50 free exports, Spark at $49 a month or $490 a year with 1,000 exports a month, and Ignite starting at $150 a month or $1,500 a year with 1,000-plus exports and API access; both paid tiers list verified emails, direct phone numbers, a Chrome extension and CRM customizations, with buyer intent data included on the annual Spark plan and available as an add-on elsewhere. A custom Blaze plan, described only as "let's chat," adds unlimited exports.
Limits to know: the page does not publish a separate credit cost for a phone reveal specifically, since phone numbers are bundled into the export allowance rather than metered on their own, so you cannot isolate the phone cost the way you can at Lusha or Overloop. Coverage skews to the US.
Choose it over Cognism when: you want intent data and direct dials without a 5-seat minimum or a sales cycle. Source: Lead411 pricing, read September 15, 2026.
9. Dealfront: best for DACH and EU teams that start from website visitor intent
Best for: European teams, especially DACH-market sellers, whose starting signal is an anonymous company visiting the website, with contact and phone enrichment layered on top.
Dealfront's product now trades under the Leadfeeder brand; on September 15, 2026 dealfront.com redirected to leadfeeder.com, and the pricing page under that name is what is published. The entry Lite plan is free with a 100-company-a-month identification cap. Discover starts at €79 a month billed annually, or €113 monthly, and identifies web visitors without contact-level enrichment. Contact and phone data specifically arrive on Activate, the plan the page markets as most popular, starting at €369 a month billed annually or €527 monthly, which includes a credit pool between 200 and 1,500 credits a month depending on company volume; the page describes those credits as revealing "verified work emails, job titles, and direct dials" without stating the exact credit cost of a single phone reveal. A Scale plan raises the credit pool further, and Enterprise is custom.
Limits to know: the entry point for phone data, Activate at €369 a month annual, is priced well above every other tool in this guide, and the per-contact phone credit cost is not disclosed on the page, so budgeting a specific number of reveals requires a sales conversation even though the plan tiers themselves are published.
Choose it over Cognism when: anonymous visitor identification is your primary signal and phone reveal is a feature you want attached to it, not the product itself. Source: Leadfeeder (Dealfront) pricing, read September 15, 2026.
10. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise revenue teams already comfortable with a quote
Best for: organizations buying data, intent and engagement together on a multi-year contract, where Cognism was already one of several vendors on the shortlist.
ZoomInfo is the enterprise reference and, like Cognism, publishes no price. On September 15, 2026 its pricing page routed visitors to a demo or trial with no plan pricing shown. Its core products include ZoomInfo Copilot, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Talent, alongside a free community edition, and pricing is described as based on functionality, users and records under management for the edition you select. So the honest entry is custom pricing, not published, and the phone cost is not published either.
Limits to know: no self-serve signup, a sales cycle measured in weeks, and a commitment that, like Cognism's, is not sized until you are already in a conversation with a rep. European coverage should be checked in your own markets during the trial rather than assumed from the brand's US roots.
Choose it over Cognism when: you are already running a vendor evaluation with a procurement team and want the other major quote-only data platform in the comparison set. Source: ZoomInfo pricing, read September 15, 2026.
How to choose a Cognism alternative
| If your priority is... | Shortlist | What to verify before buying |
|---|---|---|
| A published price with no sales call | Lusha, Kaspr, Apollo, UpLead, FullEnrich | Phone credits per month, shared versus separate email meter, seat limits |
| Phone numbers inside the outreach tool | Overloop, Apollo | Credits per number, sequence channels, CRM scope by plan, EU storage |
| Bulk enrichment of existing lists | FullEnrich, Apollo | Waterfall sources, refund on no match, credit rollover |
| Direct dials plus buyer intent as a feature, not an add-on | Lead411, Dealfront | Whether phone cost is metered separately or bundled into exports, coverage in your region |
| Verified European mobiles, compliance screening and intent at scale | ZoomInfo, or staying with Cognism | Seat minimums, contract term, DNC and compliance scope in your markets |
| Person search outside LinkedIn | RocketReach, UpLead | Lookup versus credit meter, phone on entry tier, verification on export |
Run the arithmetic on 100 phone numbers a month per seller, since that is roughly what Kaspr's Starter plan buys and a reasonable anchor when Cognism itself will not give you a number to compare against. At Lusha that is 500 credits, more than a Starter seat holds. At Overloop it is 500 credits, exactly a Growth seat, and the seat also runs your sequences. At Apollo it is 800 credits against a 30,000 annual pool. At FullEnrich it is 1,000 credits, the whole Pro plan. Then add the tool you would still need for sending, and read our B2B data enrichment guide before committing to any single provider.
Migration checklist: leaving Cognism without losing data
- Read the reuse terms first. A revealed contact is not automatically a right to keep and reuse the list indefinitely. Check your Cognism agreement before a bulk export, since enterprise contracts often carry stricter reuse language than a self-serve tool's terms.
- Export list by list. Keep each Cognism list as its own CSV with the LinkedIn URL, work email, phone number, job title, company and company domain. The LinkedIn URL is the join key that survives every tool in this guide.
- Move compliance and DNC data first. Cognism's do-not-call and consent screening is one of the reasons teams buy it; whatever suppression list it built has to land in the new tool before the first sequence or call task goes live, not after.
- Do not re-reveal what you own. Import existing numbers as data, so the new tool only spends credits on gaps.
- Re-verify emails. Addresses decay; run the import through the new tool's email verification. In Overloop that costs 1 credit per valid email.
- Test phone reveal on one segment. Pick 50 prospects you know, run the reveal, and compare fill rate and format against your Cognism export. Do not extrapolate a vendor-wide accuracy figure from 50 rows.
- Rebuild the workflow, not just the data. If sellers relied on Cognism's list building and CRM enrichment, decide where the reveal now happens and who exports what. In Overloop the reveal happens in the prospect record and in bulk on lists, and numbers export to CSV.
- Cancel after the CRM sync works. Cancel Cognism only once revealed numbers, and your compliance flags, are landing in the right CRM fields from the new tool.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Cognism alternative?
It depends on why you are leaving. Overloop is our first recommendation for small European teams that want phone reveal, email finding and sequences under one published per-seat price. Lusha and Kaspr are the closest self-serve database swaps. Apollo fits volume prospecting with a dialer. ZoomInfo is the direct enterprise peer if you still want a quote-only contract with intent data. Overloop publishes this guide, and the recommendation reflects workflow fit and published pricing, not a comparative accuracy test.
How much does Cognism cost in 2026?
Cognism does not publish prices. On September 15, 2026 its pricing page listed two Sales Prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each including 5 seats, priced through a sales conversation described as tailored to product, team setup and usage. Pro adds on-demand mobile verification and intent data. CRM Enrichment and a Data-as-a-Service option are also quote-only. Budget for a sales cycle rather than a self-serve signup.
Is there a free Cognism alternative?
Cognism itself has no free tier. Several alternatives do. Lusha lists a Free plan with 40 credits a month and a phone reveal at 5 credits, Kaspr a Free plan with 5 phone credits and 15 B2B email credits a month, and RocketReach 5 free lookups. Apollo's free plan grants 900 credits per seat per year at 8 credits per phone number. Overloop offers a 7-day free trial rather than a permanent free plan.
Cognism vs Kaspr: what is the difference?
Cognism owns Kaspr. Kaspr is the self-serve LinkedIn extension with published prices starting at $49 a month billed annually and 100 phone credits a month. Cognism is the upmarket platform built around the same phone data, sold through Standard and Pro packages with a 5-seat minimum and pricing that is not published. Teams that want the reveal-from-LinkedIn workflow at a fixed price usually start with Kaspr; teams that want list building, CRM enrichment and intent data at scale end up talking to Cognism sales.
Which Cognism alternative also sends the outreach?
Overloop and Apollo both combine contact data with sequences in one subscription. Overloop runs email and LinkedIn sequences and reveals phone numbers for 5 credits each; Apollo runs email sequences and includes a US dialer that consumes credits. Lusha, Kaspr, UpLead, FullEnrich, RocketReach, Lead411, Dealfront and ZoomInfo are data products you pair with a sending tool or a CRM.
How do I move my Cognism data to another tool?
Export your Cognism lists to CSV with the LinkedIn URL, work email and phone columns, keep the LinkedIn URL as the join key, and import into the new tool without re-revealing numbers you already paid for. Cognism's do-not-call and compliance screening data should move first, before any sequence or call task goes live. Re-verify emails since addresses decay. Numbers you reveal in Overloop export to CSV, so the same discipline applies on the way out later.
Bottom line
Cognism is good at things that are genuinely hard to replace: Diamond Data mobile verification, DNC and compliance screening built into the reveal, and Bombora intent layered on the same record. Leave it for a reason you can name. If the reason is that you cannot get a number without a sales call, Lusha, Kaspr, Apollo, UpLead and FullEnrich all show pricing on the page. If the reason is a 5-seat minimum that does not fit your team, Kaspr is Cognism's own self-serve answer. If the reason is that every revealed number then needs a sequence, a call task and a CRM record, Overloop puts the reveal, the email finder and the outreach under one $69 to $99 per user seat, at 5 credits per number and with no dialer of its own. If the reason you looked at Cognism was the intent data and compliance depth, that is a real trade-off; ZoomInfo is the closest published-tier-free peer, and nothing self-serve in this guide fully replaces it.
Overloop publishes this comparison, so check the 7-day trial against your own list rather than taking our word for it. Price 100 phone numbers a month per seller across 2 shortlisted tools, include the sender you would still need, keep your compliance and suppression data intact, and only cancel Cognism when the new numbers, and the DNC flags, are landing where your sellers work. Compare Overloop's plans and the phone number finder if that is the job.
