Lusha and Apollo both sell B2B emails and phone numbers through a credit meter with a free plan. Lusha charges 5 credits per number and bundles fewer credits per dollar; Apollo charges 8 credits per number but hands out far more credits, so its phone numbers cost less at list price. Lusha is the lighter, extension-first tool; Apollo is a full prospecting and sequencing platform. Every number below was read on September 28, 2026.

Disclosure first: we are Overloop, and we sell contact data and outreach, so we compete with both Lusha and Apollo. Every price and figure below was read on the vendors' official pages on September 28, 2026. Where one of them is the better choice for your team, we say so.

Lusha vs Apollo: the short answer

Choose Lusha if your sellers reveal a handful of contacts a day from a browser extension or the CRM, you want a clean credit rule (1 credit an email, 5 a phone number) and wide native integrations. Expect about $0.44 to $0.62 per phone number at list price.

Choose Apollo if phone volume per dollar matters and you want sequences and a dialer in the same seat. A number costs 8 credits, but an Apollo Basic seat carries 2,500 credits a month, which puts a number at about $0.16 to $0.21 at list price.

Choose Overloop if the number has to go straight into outreach. Overloop, our product, reveals a phone number for 5 credits, charged only when one is found, and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same prospect record. Plans start at $69 per user per month with 250 credits.

Cost per phone number

Lusha's rule is cheaper in credits and Apollo's is cheaper in dollars. The table converts both to dollars per number.

Tool Plan How we computed it Price per phone number
Lusha Starter, monthly $49.90, 400 credits a month, 5 credits per number = 80 numbers about $0.62
Lusha Starter, annual $37.45 a month, 4,800 credits a year (400 a month) = 80 numbers a month about $0.47
Lusha Pro, monthly $69.90, 600 credits a month = 120 numbers about $0.58
Lusha Pro, annual $52.45 a month, 7,200 credits a year = 120 numbers a month about $0.44
Apollo Basic, monthly $65 a seat, 2,500 credits a month, 8 credits per number = 312 numbers about $0.21
Apollo Basic, annual $49 a seat a month, 30,000 credits a year (2,500 a month), 8 credits per number about $0.16
Apollo Professional, monthly $99 a seat, 4,000 credits a month = 500 numbers about $0.20
Overloop Starter or Growth Phone reveal draws on the plan's shared credits 5 credits, only on a match (see pricing)

Both meters are shared with emails and other features, so a real month buys fewer numbers than these ceilings. Lusha counts seats per plan (Pro includes 2 free seats); Apollo prices every seat.

Data and coverage

Lusha's Lusha data page declares 290M+ verified contacts and 29M+ companies across 239 countries, with 37 markets above 1M contacts each, and says it does not scrape professional networks or social platforms. Apollo declares 240M contacts and 30M companies, and adds waterfall enrichment that checks connected providers in order when its own data misses.

Neither publishes an accuracy audit covering both, and we do not rank them on accuracy. The honest test is the same list through both free plans: 40 Lusha credits buy 8 numbers, 75 monthly Apollo credits buy 9.

Workflow and outreach

Lusha started as a browser extension and still works best there: open a profile or a company site, reveal, push to the CRM. Its plans now list automated email sequences and call recordings too. Apollo started as a database with sequences and grew into a sales platform: search, sequences, a US dialer that consumes credits, meeting and deal features. If your team lives in the CRM and only needs the data, Lusha is less to learn. If the team needs one place to find and contact, Apollo does more.

Integrations

Lusha's Lusha integrations names Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Clay, Zapier, Make, n8n and Slack. API and webhooks start on Pro. Apollo names Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive plus Outreach and Salesloft, with API enrichment on paid plans.

Verdict by team type

For more options on either side, read our Lusha alternatives and Apollo alternatives guides.

A third option: Overloop

Overloop is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. It is not a pure data vendor. Overloop finds the work email and the phone number of a prospect and runs the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same record, so the number does not have to travel through a CSV before anyone uses it.

For phone data, the Overloop phone number finder queries several data sources in turn and stops at the first match. A revealed number costs 5 credits, charged only when a number is found; an empty search uses no phone-search credits. Overloop finds emails with its email finder and sources new prospects from an advertised 450M+ B2B contact database. Credits are one shared meter across sourcing, email finding and phone reveal. Starter is $69 per user per month with 250 credits and Growth is $99 per user per month with 500 credits; the credit rules sit on the pricing page.

Where we lose: on list-price phone volume per dollar, Apollo's credit allowance is larger. If you only reveal from a LinkedIn profile, Lusha's extension is lighter. Overloop has no built-in dialer, so revealed numbers feed call tasks and CSV exports. We do not publish a phone match rate, because a rate measured on our lists would not predict yours. Run the reveal on 50 prospects you already know before you decide.

Want the number and the sequence in one place?

Overloop reveals phone numbers for 5 credits each, only when one is found, and sends the email and LinkedIn sequence from the same prospect record.

How this comparison was made

This is desk research, not a lab test. On September 28, 2026 we opened each vendor's official pricing page and the data pages linked below as a logged-out visitor, rendered them in a browser, and recorded plan prices, credits and the credit cost of a phone number. Price per number assumes every credit on the plan goes to phone numbers, which is the ceiling, not a typical month: emails, exports and other features draw on the same credits at most vendors. Coverage figures are what each vendor declares about its own data. We did not run a paid trial of either tool and we do not rank data accuracy, because no independent audit covering both was available. Methodology notes for the blog sit on our methodology page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lusha better than Apollo?

For extension-first reveals and CRM enrichment, Lusha is simpler: 1 credit per email, 5 per phone number, and a long list of native integrations. For volume and outreach, Apollo does more: its Basic seat carries 2,500 credits a month and includes sequences and a US dialer. Prices read September 28, 2026.

Which is cheaper per phone number, Lusha or Apollo?

Apollo at list price. Lusha Starter buys 80 numbers a month for $49.90 monthly or $37.45 on annual billing, about $0.47 to $0.62 each. Apollo Basic buys up to 312 numbers for $65 monthly or $49 on annual billing, about $0.16 to $0.21 each. Both assume every credit goes to phones.

Why is Lusha so expensive?

Per phone number, Lusha costs more at list price because its plans carry fewer credits: 400 a month on Starter, and a number takes 5. What you get in return is a light extension workflow, a free tier and broad CRM integrations. Check whether a Pro plan's 2 free seats change the math for your team.

What is better than Lusha?

It depends on the gap. Apollo for more credits per dollar and sequences, Kaspr for a separate phone meter with unlimited B2B emails, FullEnrich for waterfall lookups on lists, Overloop if the number has to feed an email and LinkedIn sequence. Our Lusha alternatives guide compares them.

Does Lusha have email sequences?

Yes. Lusha's pricing page lists automated email sequences among the features of every plan, including Free, as read on September 28, 2026. Apollo also includes email sequences on every plan, with unlimited sequences from Basic.

Who is Apollo's biggest competitor?

For contact data, ZoomInfo at the enterprise end and Lusha, Kaspr and Cognism for phone data. For sequences, the engagement platforms. Apollo's own site keeps comparison pages against several of them, including Lusha.
